PEOPLES' VIEWS...
There's an Oasis down
Broughton Street.
It's said the dining to be unique.
Among the culinary arts of this,
Southern town of smiles of grits.
There is
a tent of exotic respite,
Where those of taste venture at night,
And dine with Moroccan etiquette…
Legs crossed, cushioned, luxuriously sit…
Upon velvet cushions and walls of plush…
At
"The Dance of the Veils", with a
seductive smile.
To take home the memories… forever filed,
In the sweet-dreams of fun and food that is
sumptuous.
For the
new friends they meet… and for the gracious…
Hosts of the Casbah … their smiles are the
basis,
Of Historic Savannah's noted … Oasis.

I visited your restaurant for
the first time last evening. It was a truly
beautiful evening; I had a lovely time. The food
was a gastronomic delight (I thought I had died
and gone to Heaven! :-)). I cannot wait until I
return and, of course, bring my friends.
Thank you for the evening.

My husband, cousin and I
ate at Casbah for the first time, last night. We
wanted to try a new restaurant for my birthday,
and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our entire
experience. Since all of us are vegetarians, we
were pleasantly surprised (and happy!)to find so
many options to choose from. The atmosphere, the
friendliness of the wait-staff, and the food
were all wonderful. IN fact, the chef came out
of the restaurant to give us the recipe for the
wonderful lentil soup, which I hope to make
sometime soon. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I own The
Broughton Street Bed & Breakfast on East
Broughton Street in Savannah, only three blocks
from the Casbah. What a treat to have you all so
close!!! We have been four times already with
five different couples and it is fabulous every
time...just like coming home!!! Welcome to
Savannah!!!

You're doing great! My
wife and I went last night for the first time
and were really overwhelmed! Just across the
board everything was excellent -- food (of
course), wine, service ... all great. We'll be
back repeatedly and bring friends. Thanks!

I dined there on Sunday
night (Oct. 3/99), around 7:30pm, and it was
excellent. The lamb (which I normally don't
like) was out of this world. It was more tender
than anything I have ever eaten. The Cornish hen
bastila pie was scrumptious, especially with the
powdered sugar sprinkled on top. The
belly-dancer was great, very talented and good
at what she does. The service was the best I've
ever received. I don't recall her name, but I
think she was the only female serving that night
- the tall, pretty girl who is also the
photographer. She was very friendly, funny, and
very attentive. A+ all the way. I don't know if
I'll ever be back in Savannah, as I live in
Toronto, Canada, but if I do, I will definitely
be back. Thanks for a great dining and
entertaining experience.
